Tigress is married to a wonderful man whom
she calls ‘Huggy Bear’ and they live in Spring Valley, Ca. Their home is
situated on a hillside, which overlooks the lake. Their homes décor
takes after her name.
In other words, it has a jungle theme. Her husband came into her life
after the death of her first husband
and helped her see how wonderful life could be with the proper mind-set.
Together they have a business
in which ‘Huggy Bear’ operates and runs while Tigress does the office
work and bookkeeping.
She has one son Bud, who after high school joined the Navy. He has since left the Navy and is now a computer technician. He also writes computer programs for the Veterinarian Department at Washington State. Bud is married to a wonderful girl named Karen and together they have a 2-½ year old son, Sean. Karen works for UCLA via computer and has for fourteen years. Sean helps daddy around the house. Bud, Karen, and Sean live in the state of Washington.
Tigress also has one daughter who she has just recently been reunited
with. Her daughter is also married and has a little girl. She was told
at the birth of her daughter that the child had died at birth. Tigress
was contacted about a year and a half ago by her daughter. She then found
out that her parents had adopted
her daughter out because they felt that she wasn’t able to cope with
a 1 ½ year old son, the death of her husband and a new baby all
at the same time. She still has not met her daughter, but they do talk
on the phone and e-mail. She is hoping that one day her daughter will be
able to visit but she just lost her
father and her mother is very ill, therefore she doesn’t feel free
to leave home at the moment.
Her education includes a degree in English and Commercial Arts. Her
employment history includes,
in part, Universal Studios, NBC, and the Indy 500. Her area of expertise
was in advertising layouts,
copy writing, and promotion, both in the printed media and television.
Tigress describes herself as the fun-loving, caring and artistic type.
She enjoys people and their life stories. She also enjoys gourmet cooking
and has written a cookbook on that style of cooking. Artistically,
she paints with oils and acrylics. She has won many blue ribbons for her
oils. She also plays the piano and organ. As for television, Tigress like
ER, Touched By an Angel, and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
She also loves baseball and football. Her favorite teams are the San
Diego Padres and the Chargers.
Here is a piece of work that Tigress has written from her heart. You
can find other poems and such at her website http://www.jungletigress.com.
I’m sure she
would love to have you visit.
Generation Castout
Everything about her is honey-gold,
smiling gray-green eyes reveal pure soul.
Still vigorous ‘n spirited ~ having much to give,
loving ~ to be needed ~ her reason to live.
Why then would anyone turn from her turn?
throwing her away like trash to burn?
Discovered one day she was no longer needed,
crestfallen feeling like a garden to be weeded.
Once a woman zealous, engaging ‘n gregarious,
now dispirited ‘n lost ~ feeling quite obsequious.
Asking herself why ~ have I grown too old,
Nay ~ too busy for your needs she was told.
Sadly, it’s true, there are those too busy to
care ‘n love,
ridding themselves of a stale generation with
a little shove.
The day will be when they find themselves in
this place,
as the years go by ‘n the story told by the lines
on their face.

Here is Poem by Debi for Tigress:
Tigress of the jungle
elusive yet by name
she has a wonderful site
and she designs with game.
She is so very intriguing
and yet I find her so .....
well if you want to see
go to her page , then you'll know....
To visit her page go to http://www.jungletigress.com. We are sure she would love to have you visit.
Karyn had only the nicest things to say about her dear friend Tigress.
“My friend Tigress, what a woman. She truly is a Lady of the Heart.
She was one of the first ladies I met when I joined LOTH and our friendship
has continued to grow. She is a remarkable woman. She truly
stole my heart from day one. She makes you feel so loved and needed.
I have the great joy of
working with her on the awards committee and feel truly blessed.
She has done so much for me.
I have no graphic talents as of yet, but whenever I need a special
something for someone of our group or even for myself she is the first
to chime in and help me out. Tigress is truly an inspiration in my life
to go on
and do what I am not sure I can but with the support she gives, there
is no fear. This wonderful lady has been such a big part of my life over
the past nine months. I have never heard an unkind word said by her.
She always has something nice to say to everybody. I can remember
when she was trying to help me get a
calling card that she made for me, to work. I know I had to be annoying.
I kept having problems and mostly because I didn't understand what I was
doing, but she was very patient and understanding and after three days
of questions and answers and reworking of things we got it to work.
Not once in that three days did she ever make me feel like I was being
the pain that I knew I was. Bottom line I suppose is this. Tigress
stole my heart and I don't want it back. She is such a loving, caring,
giving and gentle soul. I would be lost without our dear one to encourage
and support me through this life. She truly deserves this acknowledgement.
***Note to Tigress*** I love you sweetie, you are
an essential part of my being.”
Lorien, another close friend of Tigress wrote:
"We met online, Tigress and I, more than two years ago.
She sent me a beautiful gift for a precious
little angel boy whom I was making pages for. She told me in
her letter that she was ill for several days,
but she was ok. Then we met on ICQ. We laughed. She
told me that I was funny. I liked her. I felt
great while talking to her. After that we talked again on ICQ,
and she had the suggestion to adopt me
as her cyber daughter. I liked the idea *s* No one ever wanted
to "adopt" me on the net. It gave me a warm feeling, made me feel
connected to her in some way. That day I went to her site again.
I visited
her a long time ago, but now, my visit had different colors and shades.
I loved every one of her pages.
So much love was put in every one. I was amazed to discover her...
I loved what I saw there.
I loved her as a person, as a human being who holds such a beautiful
soul inside. I was thrilled to meet
her in her world and became her cyber-daughter.
Her love for lions and tigers amazed me. Those magnificent
animals are a rare beauty. They’re so majestic, so huge, so powerful
in sight and behavior. I truly understand Tigress' love for
them. They
are so very special and the saddest part is, not many of them are left.
Later I've learned that Tigress was very ill... Very! It was painful
for me. She, who was so cheerful when we talked earlier, carried inside
her at the same time that thing. It wasn't easy to realize.
It seemed at first, as if the light was fading away.
I'm not a person who prays, not till then anyway, but I prayed for
her, with all the true meaning of the word.
I've come to love her as a dear friend. We met many moons ago.
Many things have happened during this time. Some of them were wonderful.
Some were very sad.
Tigress is still dear to me as she was on day one because
she brought something special to our friendship. I knew her as a
fighter. As a strong lady who wants to go forward even if it's hard
as hell sometimes, even though she suffers lots of pain. My hopes,
wishes and prayers are with you, Tigress. So is my love and
friendship. Please take them as they are... beyond the words..."
